SurvivAir – A : Airlock Access Chamber

The most recent development is the launch of the Survivair-A (Airlock Access Chamber) at the Electra Mining Africa Exhibition 2008. The access chamber is an attachment module to the reclaimable Survivair-ERB Refuge Chamber and ensures that the entrance to the main refuge chamber remains free of toxic gas or other contaminants that may be introduced to the refuge chamber as survivors enter the refuge chamber. The functional design of the airlock access chamber is covered by SA Patent Application No. 2009/02302.

Main features:

  • Rigid steel construction
  • Weight - 1000kg
  • Dimensions 2m (L) x 2m (W) x 1.7m (H)
  • 220VAC or 24V DC with UV beam activated auto start on entrance
  • Can be retrofitted to existing Survivair-ERB Refuge Chambers in the market
  • Skid mount optional
